Infill material for Landscaping grass

So is it installed under or where…?

It`s installed between the yarn, resting on the backing, but usually not that visible, only slightly, it makes the grass look plush and natural, but what are the benefits?

The infill that we use in landscaping synthetic lawn is a high quality silica sand, after installing the turf a layer is applied to the surface and mechanically brushed in place, the amount of kilograms per square meter will vary depending on the grass pile height and density.

The first and foremost benefit is increased lifespan of the grass, due to less direct impact on the backing where tufts are locked in. Second in improves the overall look of the grass, imagine a little sand slightly visible between the curly brown thatch and lush green grass.

It also keeps the yarn upright, improves drainage and weighs the grass down onto the base

Infill for Sports grass

Over here its functionality over aesthetics, the basic benefits of Silica sand remain the same.

It stabilizes the turf by weighing it down, improves drainage, protects the backing and provides an extra layer for boot studs or blades to grip into. With our AG-Pro 50 and AG-Play 40 we install a specific ratio of Silica and Rubber infill to achieve optimum performance results from the playing surface.

Crumbed rubber increases playing comfort, ball bounce and response, grip and reduces risk of injury when falling.

Crumbed rubber is made from recycled car tyres, but can be substituted by Virgin EPDM or coated SBR Latex granules
